Abstract

A contranormal subgroup is a subgroup whose normal closure in the group is the whole group. Hence a subgroup H of a group G is said to be totally contranormal if HK = K for each subgroup K of G. The purpose of this article is to study the influence of contranormal (totally contranormal) subgroup on groups whose maximal subgroups are smooth groups.

Keywords: Contranormal subgroup, smooth groups, subgroup lattices.
