Prof. Tian-Xiao He
Professor of Mathematics, Dr. Tian-Xiao He received a Ph.D. from the Dalian University of Technology and a Ph.D. from the Texas A&M University. His research interests include spline functions, approximation theory, wavelet analysis, numerical analysis, enumerative combinatorics, and some topics in computational mathematics. Research Fields: Numerical Analysis, Numerical Approximation, Wavelet Analysis, Applied Discrete Mathematics, Computational Mathematics, Analytic and Enumerative Combinatorics, Spline Function Theory, Computational Number Theory, and Boundary Element Method. Specialization areas: Multivariate splines, spline type wavelets, biorthogonal wavelets, quadratures, Riordan arrays, formal power series and Laurent series, generating functions, Stirling numbers, Catalan numbers, Sheffer-type polynomials and Sheffer group, symbolic operator, Eulerian numbers and Eulerian fractions, M\"obius function, Riemann zeta function, and multivariate Abel-Gontscharoff interpolation.
